Micromax Mobile Logo redesign

I generally like it, but...

I'd firstly like it to be at least posted here on a white background, as I can't get rid of what's already a metallic taste in my mouth caused by the logo itself.

Secondly, I feel uneasy by not only the overwhelming amount of metal, but the fact that they are apparently blades? I'm not sure that these marry well with a telecommunications company. I don't think that the sharpness sits well for the target market, or any market for that matter besides maybe a dominatrix's dungeon or superhero gone bad. :/. Overall I don't think it looks 'user friendly'. This is all just my own highly critical opinion whoever, and i'm interested to see how other people will interpret it.

In fact, the only thing that I feel is relevant is the actual 'micromax' font choice.

I would have said also that the traditionalists who post here will mention the gradients and advise posting the design in one spot color, but i noticed that your attachment shows the single color versions. These versions show the versatility of the mark, but reiterate my dislike of the sharpness. The main mark needs to take a chill pill and not threaten it's customers :) Just my honest opinion. And the best of luck to you as it's well executed, just in the wrong way imo. :)

That said though, looking at the other entries, you are in with a good chance. I was just being brutally honest with my last posted comment, which is what people here give. ;)

I don't think that customers will be afraid of blades or razors when I recall MotoRazr. However, I strongly feel something wrong with 'blades' of letter M - the rounded ones.
Merging M and X is a nice job you have done. But I don't know what micromax need to see in their logo so can't say much.

the black & white version in attachments seems like a thief's mask to me. May be its just my imagination :) nvm!

Generally agree with Jon's comments and Mara's reaction - it's a little scary. That said - it stands out in the competition as looking more professional than most of the others (there is a LOT of crap in there - my job feels very secure right now:).

I would add two things... the "mobile" tag just seems totally out of place. Think it would work with all lower case and not italic - just the same lighter weight of the company name in orange. The other thing is when you go to the all black version of the logo - the arms are too tight where they dovetail on each side. Think they need a little more air between them.

Still... good job, imho.

c'mon people you need to stay hours in front of Xbox console to understand the new "Z" generation.

there is a 3D Sphere version too that means the logo had a lot of influence from the console logo.

this is a huge improvement if compared to actual logo.

some ladies can't agree with this Bat-Logo and this target can't be ignored.

good execution but targeting fail.

to me, it seems far to masculine, id love to suggest one of your less complicated designs, but they then seem lazy, so you cant win. After looking through the other designs, which your cetainly s not the worst, their are a lot of much better designs. But basically, like i said, the design seems to masculine, even violent (does anybody else see crossing swords?), its as if the only people that buy mobile phones are futuristic sword fighting men.

i like it. i'm just not sure about the italicized 'mobile' it looks a bit weak. overall nice job.

I love it! Would not change anything. Gives the feeling of cutting edge technology.
