What is sad is that I can see them doing this. Take something so nice and jack it all up. My favortie part was the little blurb asking why the singer was not using the product. Awesome! good stuff

That was quite funny. ^_^ And almost true, too... though MS packaging as of late has been alright (at least the last time I saw a Windows XP box in a store it looked alright, but I've never taken one off the shelf to examine it).
It turns out that this video was actually produced BY Microsoft. A company spokesperson, Tom Pilla, said: "It was an internal-only video clip commissioned by our packaging [team] to humorously... educate marketers here about the pitfalls of packaging/branding."
