Mighty mouse and Firefox
Ivan | Tue, 2005-11-01 13:40I noticed that one has to be careful with the mighty mouse when using Mac Firefox. Apparently you can navigate backward and forward by scrolling sideways instead of actually scrolling the page sideways. Is that normal? In Safari it doesn't do this. Also, in Safari the scrolling is painfully slow compared to other applications. Is that on purpose?

I bought the mighty mouse on an impulse when it came out and I have to say it's one of the worst mice I've used (just in front of the "hockey puck" crap) After a week of use and sore hands I threw it in a drawer. The scroll wheel is nice but it's too springy to used for long periods and the side buttons are much too hard to press easily. I went back to my microsoft mouse which works perfectly and is actually designed to accomodate the natural shape of a hand.

I would really like to map Apple-click on one of the buttons, but there is no apparent way to do it. I swear you can do it with other multibutton mice.
Logitech MX1000 makes my hand happy:)
The new microsoft mice look pretty nifty too.
