I highly recommend you explore some other type solutions. This typeface seems to create all sorts of problems -- you're segmenting the words in odd places, "blu", "e•pixel•stu" & ""dio". That's just adding confusion where there should be precise clarity. Too thin, possibly too extended to be confined within a box. Also, the "i" isn't working at all.
hi again and sorry if I'm bothering you, but, is there any way that i could contact you, i mean like mail or phone number? I really would like to have a conversation with you about identity design, or maybe i could ask you something if i am stuck..
My name is Omar and I am from Ecuador, in fact, here in Ecuador is where i am going to start my design studio in a few weeks...
I will really appreciate your help.
Thank you again...
Hi, Its nice to see the design process of your work and how the design evolves. I think the strongest of all six is the middle one on top. Just black/blue and the title. I can visualise it on letter heads, envelopes, walls, posterts, pens etc. I'm anti the colorful backgrounds they take away from the design in a way. I'm not totally against your typeface but perhaps there's a better choice out there? In a way I feel I want to see something more square, maybe something close to the style of the Creativebits logo? (I mean the sqare bits) Also If you have Font Book on your computer, try typing the title and see how it feels with each font (thats a quick way to do it). Maybe you wanna try the following: Modern No.20 , Andale Mono or Monaco. I noticed that though people pointed out that the font isnt working you didnt change it- I know how that feels, you just like it and thats also good. After all its your work, your studio- sometimes its good to go with ones own intuition. If you Just Love it that much and see no other font in its place go for it :) and again I repeat: I dont mind it much but just make it work...
Thanks a lot, that means so much for me, you are so right about fonts, i like it and i have been workin' hard to make that font be part of the logo. i'll do my best.
thank you very much again, your comment was inspirational.
Think this...the letters that are inside the dark grey box are much more emphasized than the letters that are left outside and this might bother some viewers. I am not sure how to fix this other than shrinking the large grey box down until the work "pixel" is the only word inside of the box. This way it would emphasize the word "pixel" and wouldn't chop apart the studio's name as much. Play around with this, not quite sure how it would look yet.
I am really not a big fan of gradients or drop shadows, ESPECIALLY that are used in logo design. There really should be no place for that in a logo—unless of course, it's done right, which is difficult.
I also think that "glow" you've got going on with the different typefaces is very unappealing as well, and really takes away from the overall composition. My eyes could be deceiving me, but it looks like that's what's going on. I agree with changing the typeface completely, and maybe put a bit more emphasis on the text and not the surrounding boxes. I don't mind the boxes and the geometric look, but I honestly think you need to minimize their size and overall feel.
I love the colors. I hope this is helpful. Good luck!
