Howdy!

If the whole thing is the logo then it's WAY too busy. No need to say everything you do on your logo; that's what your marketing is for. :)

Can you strip it down to its bare essentials (I see your logo as the guy and the Miguel Design Studios text) and present in black and white?

Keep Developing It.

I think you should keep on developing, and try something totally with the current elements. Essentially just pull a 180 with the direction you are going now, eventually you will end up in the middle. i.e. For example right now it does seem sort of busy, so you should try to make a minimal or more basic design.

I would also explore some more font options also.

It's been my experience that all work can be developed, and nothing is ever finished. I always keep that in mind.

Anyway, keep posting your progress, I'd like to see the direction your heading in.

Markting

I think you have some good elements going on that have potential however I agree with the above statements that it is too busy. Try cutting one of the loud colors out and balancing the remaining too with nuetral.

I think this could lead you in the direction of some fun handout marketing pieces. I do more than just design ( appearal, vehicle graphics, large format) but I try and leave something with everyone. Even a small sticker stapled to my biz card, or a 4x6 info card, maybe even a shirt if it is called for (i am a little tacky like that, however if it is done right it will be appreciated). So don't throw this away but simplify for the logo, and keep the louder stuff for specialty apps.
