Oh hell no. Lose the pencil.

I'm aware you put a lot of work into your brief, which is good. What's bad is the brief doesn't read like a designers brief. It might as well be an insurance company,a bank, an investors group etc.

loved the concept.
loved analogical approach, space exploring

"k" needs SASR - "steve's always smooth refinment", it's still dull. I think it's not well accomplished to Space NStation.

don't like the senoidal curve, the low one seems strange.
the feeling is that "k" is like a "crutch", a "supportting actor".

typography is "times up!"

The design aspect does not come out. Lose the pencil elemnt. It puts limitations on your design possibilities. It may be simple but it is noy inspiring to potional clients.

I've returned to this a few times, but can't suggest how it could work. At this point, I would sit down and work through some more sketches and then post a few to comment on and compare.

I like it! I looked in the critique section and the only thing that attracted my eye was the thumbnail of this logo and your other variants. I know how hard it is to design a decent logo for yourself. I can´t help myself. I know there are many things what makes a logo great. I don´t try to throw all that on it simply because even after I think about a few of them I still like it. Try to use it in a few situations you can think of and if you still like it then, go for it. Just my opinion...
