Like this one better than the other one although it still needs work. Why is the N taller than the K and why doesn't the violet in the K go all the way to the top like the N? I'd ditch the shadows on the letters too - detracts imho.
I prefer the first one, but only because this one has some problems; otherwise, I like its solid weight. THe problems are the way you've got the K partly hiding behind the right edge of the N, which cuts off the top of the K and gives the logo an unbalanced, busy feeling. The other problem is that the baselines of the N and K don't match. I would like to raise the issue again of the gradients and drop shadow. Your logo should be able to work without them, and right now, I don't think it would.
