Need a littlehelp guys

I'm sure this is very simple to fix. I'm just stuck like chuck..

What's going on...
I have a design with multiple single paths.

When I try to change the weight of a stroke. The appearant look of the path does not change. I am not in outline mode. I do have a image placed under the paths. It is set to "template" so I can view it in outline etc...

Hopefully this picture sums it up.. Hopefully I added all the elements on the screen grab for you to figure out WTH is going on..

Please help!

Thanks all,
-Jon

Press alt y or command y on the mac and go into Preview View. . .

thanks ireid.

I found out the hard way you can selectively have layers in outline mode. I thought outline mode was a global change only.

In order to fix this I needed to cmd/alt click on the visiblility icon and it takes said layer out of outline mode.

Thanks for the help!

Layers things tends to trip you up sometimes, but it does work globally when you command Y. . .

you're welcome.
