Need a simple cool layout managment program ...
larusson (713 pencils) | Sat, 2005-07-16 16:23Here I am sitting in front of my computer with 3 different books that I'm just about to start making (ok, two books and a brochure) and the first thing I always do when making something like this is to make a layout plan of the whole project, and mark on each little page what's supposed to be on it and so fourth.
Well, this is all fine, but it got me wondering, isn't there a small/big/nice app. out there that I can use to help me simplify this process?
I know I could simply use InDesign and make this my self, but that really doesnt help me time-wise.
What I'd love is a simple app. where I can add pages, delete them, but text on them and notes and stuff...
You guys get my point?
Anyone know about something like this? Or want's to make me one?

What about OmniGraffle?
You can design up blocks of mockup text that can be held in the palettes/templates for drag and drop onto the page. Any type of text or graphic can be dropped onto it and you have a handy export to pdf, jpg etc if you need to share it. I used to use it for roughly the same purpose and it worked quite well though I think recent versions of Omnigraffle might not have multiple page support in favour of Omnigraffle Pro. Could be wrong though.
