wow! that looks like a winner. i was gonna go for the eos300d actually, holding back to hear such news! thanks!
Impressive stuff! The things I'm most excited about:
Resolution: 3504x2336 (8MB)
USB 2.0 connectivity
Near instant power on time - around 0.2 sec compared to the EOS 10D's 2.5 sec
Option for RAW + Jpeg saved together
sample images
plus it has a great buffer... 25 pic memory...
only thing that is bothering me about it, is that it is a bit smaller than the 10D body... kinda loses it's professional feeling... but compared to the 300D it's great.
not that I would mind upgrading my D60 to the new 20D... :D
and it's coming out on my birthday... so I think Canon should gimme one! :happydance:

I used the D30 extensively at work (along with D60s, Leaf backs, Nikon D1s etc), it was a wonderful camera. By the time I was able to buy a Canon of my own, it was the 10D I was planning to buy. Unfortunately, my fiscally responsible half led me to buy the Digital Rebel. I'm happy with it, although I do miss the more professional feature set/build of the D line.
Now the 20D comes out, and I'm bummed yet again :) Maybe next year I'll ebay off the Rebel and get the 20D. I am eyeballing the new EF-S IS zoom though.
