New EMG logo variations...
bigczar (17 points) | Sun, 2005-10-02 03:29Hey all, thanx again to Ivan and mijlee for some feedback regarding my first logo for Evolved Media Group. (http://creativebits.org/emg_logo_idea)
After taking some of their suggestions, here is my second attempt (with 4 variations) The last two just have some PMS colors to spice things up a little bit. Any thoughts / comments? Thanx in advance for any feedback.
PS - Ivan I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to post this as a new critique or append it to my previous post. Sorry if I didn’t do it correctly.

I like the solid black one. (Maybe a #CCCCCC 3px border?) Very Nice logo!
There is still something not quite right about the shapes?
I think it has something to do with the curves. Especially the G where the curves just don't sit well woth me. Try a flat inside stroke for the G and see if it looks any better.
The general feel of the logo is much better in my opinion but still needs that final polish to make it a cracker :)

If I had to choose from the 4, I would say go with the all black option. I would consider tweaking this design a bit, though. For some reason it doesn't seem finished when I look at it. I wish I know what it was but it's SOMETHING. I'm not sure it's the right 'style' for a media company. When I look at it, the logo actually looks like something for an elderly alert company or some sort of WorldComm sort of company.
