New Logo for a DJ

Here is an attempt for a logo for a DJ friend of mine, he plays more stylish house and club music so i went with a more "chique" style.
The left one is based on champagne logos, i know that it is not really aligned correctly but this is just an example for him so i can finetune it if he wants it. The right one is more based on the style of clubs and fonts they use.
Critique or suggestions are welcome

Of the two presented, I prefer the one on the right. My only concern would be the legibility of the word monsieur as the logo reduces; however, if the DJ is going to be generally referred to as LE BER then you'd probably be okay in getting away with this.
The two stars--I'd run with one only--either dot the "i" in monsieur, or work one or two into LE BER; ie. make the B a solid black and paste white stars where the inside white of the letter is now. Or...take one star and unite the two words LE BER by attaching the center serif strokes of the letters E and B to the star.
Nice work.

looks a lot like the Brooklyn lager logo. i see it a lot as coasters at the bars.

Funny
Haha..thats funny, ive never seen that logo. Not that surprising as i live in Holland :)
The world is a small place
the one on the left feels
the one on the left feels very heavy, not sure it fits in the "chic" category you were going for. it does come across more like a "beer" label than a "champagne" label.
i agree that the one on the right is better, but there are balance issues. the "monsieur" doesn't feel like it fits with "le ber." the weight difference is so significant and it's accentuated by the big black stars. plus centering it feels off (and it's not really centered, it's slightly off center to the right).
Club Style
An example of club style:
Your font choices are a bit out of date for club logos/design. Go with more rounded, futuristic fonts.

Ha! Nice way of presenting font samples. :)
However, the curvy fonts here could have been selected to tie in with the models.

Actually these samples are
Actually these samples are pretty tame and the fonts just get curvy-er regardless of the presence of a female on the flyer:

I kind of like the right one, but the big space between the two words is disturbing.
