New Mail in Menubar ?
larusson (713 pencils) | Mon, 2004-11-01 15:38I was wondering, have any of you guys seen a small app or something that puts a mail icon in you menubar, to show you if youve got mail?
I hide my bar, and don't always have the sound on... so this would be wonderful.
or if someone want's to make me one! :D
i'll make the icons... but somebody else has to do the programing.

Here are a few options:
MailCountX
MailTicker X
MailUnreadStatusBar
I used to use MailTicker and it worked fine, but I always have Mail open with an incoming mail sound, so I have no need for it anymore.[/url]

You will know fear...Then you will know pain.
Then you will use a Mac.
For those who have Konfabulator, there are a few mail-checker widgets available as well.

i realy don't like konfabulator to much... it realy eats my PCU ...
Regarding Konfabulator, the first releases were CPU hogs, but the recent ones are not that bad.
I hope the new Widgets that are going to be part of Tiger, will be as easy to create as the K widgets.
i'm really looking foreward to tiger and the widgets in there...
even if K is better today, it is always using power... power I wan't to have free for "real"work ...
