better in just about every way! but i still say the character face looks a bit goofy.

i guess im just looking for the swagger of the original character... i wonder what would happen if you put this guy on a week or so of legs and arms at the gym? no steroids, just a little protein and reps ; )

Yeah I know I would have liked to develop that one as well but what can you do... the face is a harder thing to make believable than one thinks.

you are a nice illustrator bro, look for sos factory to help you with the face i think you are trying to achieve something like that, top right is my favorite just because it doesnt have gradients, you have to decide on the shade or the extrude, i would go with extruded text red not gray, also try to separate the text a little more , it is bothering me.

Ya I agree I would like to see more spacing between the letters, it seems almost blurry. I like the black shadow behind the text. It creates more of a contrast and makes it readable.

The caricature is wonderful - done - don't touch it.

The text leaves a lot to be desired imho. It doesn't read very well in any of the examples and having it sit on top of the water heater dude's foot just complicates things. My preference would be a fully functional separate piece for the type that can be easily removed from the caricature so both can be used individually in other applications. Pull the words out and put them on a page without the water heater cartoon - see how uninspired they look by themselves?

But as always - that's jmho.
