First off, I like your composition, however, you have too many different typefaces going on. Don't get me wrong, if done right, it can be aesthetically pleasing. But in this situation, it just doesn't look right.
I will start with a few suggestions and leave it open for a few more from other designers out there.
Stick with one or two font families and that's it. Unless you want a more playful billboard feel for the font for "The New Year's Eve Cabaret," but otherwise see what's out there and stick with that same font family (example: Aksidenz Grotesque light, medium, bold, etc.).
In this particular composition, I don't like the ALL CAPS thing going on. It seems to be just thrown in there arbitrarily without any balance or definition to the composition. Like you tried to place it in the middle of the white space without maybe using an invisible grid? That always helps, too.
Decrease the pt. size for "presents", that doesn't need to be so maximized, that is insignificant. Put more emphasis on "The New Year's Eve Cabaret" and perhaps "The Men from the Worshop Centre..." I hope this isn't all confusing. I apologize. I love typography!
I will bow out now and see what others suggest. Good luck!

- I will definitely reduce the size of the "presents" and look at the use of grids in design - do you have any good online resources about use of grids.
I don't. However I have a book that I use from home that's a terrific resource for grids. It's called Making & Breaking the Grid—A Graphic Design Layout Workshop by Timothy Samara. This book is excellent because it not only shows you how to use grids, but how to not use a grid—if that makes sense. There are a lot of designers out there who will ONLY use a grid in their designs, but on the flip side, there are designers who do not and have not used a grid in their designs.
This book outlines both of those aspects so it's a good resource for seeing the difference in laying out a design with or without a grid. It just shows you how to layout a good, balanced composition!
I hope this helps.

The diagonal words-- I can't tell if this is intentional or not, but they are not at the same angel. This needs to either be fixed so they are the same, or it needs to be more obvious that they are supposed to be like that-- it's distracting.
p.s. the fireworks are cheesy ;)
a touch of fromage with the fireworks lol !!
this is the finished attempt I sent to the printers .
