It is simple and exhibits the artwork nicely. However, that indie, naive ink drawing in the background on the inside page absolutely has to go. It completely undermines the paintings. It matters what goes next to artwork when you are viewing it, and that ink drawing is completely wrong to be complimenting the paintings. I would just get rid of the background all together and let the viewer focus on only the work. There is a reason galleries have only white walls.
