'Node-Locked' Vue 6 Infinite, what does it mean?
momoflakes (12 pencils) | Sun, 2007-10-07 23:13Hey everyone,
So, I'm interested in buying Vue 6 infinite from e-on software. I got a few questions, though.
With a Node-Locked license, I don't really understand how that works, nothing I have is 'Node locked' as far as I know, so i have have no clue how it works.
It says it's only for one system at a time, so does that mean I would have to like, buy another license or something if my computer crashed? Is it like Adobe, where there's activation or something? I can't really find any info on it, so I'm hoping someone here can help me out.
Thanks,
Alex

A great explanation here:
http://www.quest.com/jprobe/faq_node_locked.aspx
Basically it means, "A node-locked license is essentially a "per named developer" license model. The license is tied to a specific OS type, machine (host name) and named user. The support contact is tied to one designated person."
