I was just going to add onto a previous topic I created, but I can't seem to find it. What I've found is that half of my topics/posts have been given to Georg, something wrong here.

Well anyway, I was just wanting to ask, how do I check the traffic of my blog? Like is there a website I can log onto/sign up with which monitors the activity of my blog? How many hits and when?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Sorry to bring this topic back to life, but I'm first on Google ranks!

For my name 'abdul rehman', I'm first (should be) and also I'm listed on the second page too. I'm also listed on the first page for quite a few other simple searches as well. I noticed the Google bot on my StatCounter log quite a few days ago. :)

I know this isn't exactly design related, but it's an achievement. I think I have a trick which helps. Let me know if anyone's interested.

You use Blogger for your Web site, yes? Well, Blogger is owned by Google. Therefore you will be listed higher than you normally would if you used Drupal or WordPress or any other blogging app. Google just remembers to index your page more often!

But keep this in mind Abdul, *most* people aren't going to search for your name, they're going to search for what you have on your site, which appears to be commentary on your design job. You probably won't even show up in the list without a bunch of qualifiers.

But don't worry. People have a way of finding what they want!

I agree Jim. But I've been getting hits with searches such as 'magazine design layout', 'creative words', stuff to do with Subaru's even and quite a few others.

I think with Blogger being owned by Google, it does give me a slight advantge. How do I add an attachment to the post? I'll attach a .txt file.
