Baheyeldin web site
Ivan | Wed, 2005-06-01 17:39This is a personal web site for a friend, who lives in Canada. The site is about a variety of things. He was running Drupal for quite some time and wanted a unique theme for his site. According to the brief the site had to be modern with an islamic touch to it. Link: http://baheyeldin.com/

I like that it is very readable, straightforward. I am not too fond of the color combo, but that is personal. It doesn't have a whole truckload of style, but with the emphasis on all the categories maybe simpler is better.
I don't like the graphic to the left of each title, it is a bit unreadable at that size. Maybe you could find another one that has the same feeling as the top logo which is readable at a smaller size.
There is a lot of BLUE in the texts links [look at a full post title area], perhaps give some individual a:link attributes to some elements to further support structure and hierarchy.
What benefits are there to Drupal over say Wordpress or EE... Curious.
It's very nice, clean. I like the color palette, though maybe just a touch more of that nice warm orange? If you scroll to the middle, beyond the header area, all the heat is lost.
The site looks and works great, I've not tested this on IE pc yet, but it works great for me, it looks great, I love the subtle textures.
Some more subtle orange would be nice to break up the content, but thats just a personal thing.
Great job, congrats with the css on the site too :)
