Still sold on the iPhone
The iPod touch is extremely cool, and I could possibly consider it but only if the iPhone ended up on the worst carrier in Sweden. Even though I'd prolly end up hacking it and using it on another carrier. Just too cool to have the all in one device.
I agree. It would be nice if
I agree. It would be nice if we had a clean software hack.
Might not have to worry
It's my understanding that in certain EU countries it's illegal to sell locked cell phones.
Classic 80gb or 160gb
I just need room for more music, and even though touch is cool, 16gb wouldn't hold close to all my music. XD

I think it's a small
I think it's a small inconvenience to create a few playlists and update them once in a while.
AGREED!!!!!
I've seen this attitude on several forums where people are discussing the new iPods. I simply do not understand it, and am convinced that it's just a power trip with people wanting to have the biggest number possible.
When are you ever gone from home so long that you need to carry 160GB worth of music where ever you go? With an 8GB or 16GB iPod you could create several smart essential playlists. I have several genre related playlists with what I consider to be classic songs, song that are rated as 4 or 5 stars. These are the essential songs on my iPod and always remain. I then have maybe 5 playlists that I alternate on a regular basis with what I'm listening to at the moment. Works perfectly for me.
I don't know about attitude,
I don't know about attitude, but I've actually tried this before. I had everything rated and had a set number of playlists that I would rotate through. Problem is, my library changes pretty constantly since that time , and a lot of times I'm listening to iPod for 8-9 hours a day - so it works best to have it shuffle through my entire library. I don't view it as a contest (I could seriously care less what people think of my music.), I view it as variety for my sometimes inconsistent taste in music. iPod is used more of an on-the-go piece of equipment for me. To each their own.

LOL - I think there SHOULD be a contest. . .
for the WEIRDEST songs you have in iTunes!
I have Airwolf soundtrack, Nightrider Theme Song. . . lets not forget the MacGuyver theme song. . . lol I could go on! hehe

Actually
When my iPod died (80gb) I realised that I really NEVER listened to more than 60% of the songs on it, it was just a great convenience to have a 'back-up' of all my music I could listen to anywhere. Nowadays I live 5 minutes from work so to have an 80gb brick that is liable to fail (moving parts) that I will NEVER fill or USE 100% is to me a waste of money. . . I wanted to wait for the flash memory to go up to at LEAST 20gb but the touch part of it is selling me with the new iPod touch!
Oh please let them get a hack so we can use the iPhone unlocked!

Not sure...
I have a tiny leetle 10GB iPod now, and for the most part it's fine (except the short battery life). But seeing and touching and WiFi-ing all seem pretty damn cool, and 16GB would be a boost for me.
But $400?
Hmmmm....
Maybe this 10GB one will last for a bit after all.
So I guess my vote is:
NONE (at least for now).
Just got an iPhone last week.
But I didn't buy it, it was a gift, fortunately for me. I wonder though for those that just bought one, will Apple or AT&T refund the difference?
Anyway, since I just got an iPhone, I won't be making any iPod purchases for a good while. Besides the iPhone, I have a 30GB 3G iPod and my wife has a pink 1 GB shuffle. I'm planning on loading my 30GB iPod with OS X and some utilities like Disk Warrior, so I'll have a little emergency kit of sorts. I guess another iPhone may be the next purchase, for my wife. She doesn't want one right now, but the more she uses mine, I can see the glimmer of want in her eye.;)

Where's the "none" option?
As nice as it the product is I will never buy a device that costs me continuously money just to have the battery replaced. Never had an iPod and never will :-)
added it
I added the neither option. Good point.
If you ask me...
The new iPhone Touch is made specifically to "upsell" you to the iPhone. For only $100 more you get a full PDA with the same iPod capabilities as the Touch.

Despite...
Despite the fact that multi-touch in more advance in terms of technology, I still prefer scroll-wheel over it. Scroll wheel is just so sophisticated. The first time, I used it, i was like wow. I really admire them for coming up with such an innovative idea.
