I'm most drawn to 9, though the outline of the shapes doesn't look very clean. Have you tried without the outline? Also the type isn't really working - it might be too big.
I think 4 has potential, but I'd lose the gradient. It seems it could use more weight or something, not sure.

i'm curious, why wouldn't you try to tie-in the idea that it's from egypt? maybe use a sort of obelisk or set of pyramids. none of the logo's really make it feel like it's in egypt other then by reading it. it can easily be done in a simple stylist way.
best of luck.

I agree with Archmedia. When I read your post I immediately noticed there was nothing Egyptian about the logo, although #3 kind of reminds me of the stripes on King Tut's coffin.

Agreed. There nothing egyptian or very technological about the logo. The colours don't seem to be very tech looking, or modern. I would go back to the drawing board. 4, 7 and 8 seem way too organic for a tech site and 9 has too much of a photographic feel (like aperture or something).
Try to avoid cliches when it comes to Egyptian symbology. Remember you can abstract forms, so if you decide to use pyramides or something, try something different from the typical three pyramids shot (ie. using a satellite view and simple shapes instead of a photo or realistic illustration). Remember that the Egyptians were great mathematicians as well and that's a direct connection to programming / technology.
Another direction to perhaps explore would be Egyptian hieroglyphs -- they are a great resource to get ideas for shapes, forms, and typography since it is a language (not unlike the language of code ... hmm, forced connection there?).
