gmail is playing up again
William (188 points) | Tue, 2005-12-13 20:30Just quick word of warning to people who use gmail as their regular mail host.
The spam filters are going a bit crazy and wrongly tagged many legit mails as spam.
Also, the gmail SSL certificate seems to have expired, which seems surprising.

Hmm...no problem here, through Gmail Notifier or through Firefox. I don't access through Thunderbird.
I received the same message about the 'Unable to verify ssl server..."I just clicked 'continue' so hope all is ok.
I didn't have any problem this time, but it has miscategorized an e-mail as spam once.
Still, I don't think it's very important, since I don't get much spam in my gmail account anyway, so any spam e-mail looks suspicious to me.
Where I really have problems is my hotmail account. The filter misjudged at least three of my personal e-mails as spam during the last week! Outrageous.
I actually forward all my mail through gmail and use it as POP & SMTP service.
