I don't like it, looks messy. Total chaos of styles.
And is that—gasp!—a colour other than green?
Wow. Us Canadians are going to have to start making fun of your rainbow coloured cash, soon.
Or maybe just your ugly money. I mean, what's the deal with the cutout around the vertical 100 on the back. Check that, what's the deal with the vertical 100 on the back, period?
Not that the original 100 was a work of art in itself, but that's pretty nasty....
Photographer, designer, and all around okay guy.
Did they Photoshop Franklin? I think they did! He looks more alert now, perkier. Especially his right eye seems lifted a bit.
Edit: I like the new design a lot! Fresh, optimistic. While still recognizable as a 100 dollar bill.
I like it. Although adding that purplish color to Franklin's clothing is now making Franklin look like a green Martian. And they could have done a nicer job on the cutout behind the sideways 100 on the back... looks like a weird blob behind it... the shape makes no sense at all.
I think the chaos on the front is beautiful, though. And it definitely does look like they gave Franklin a brow lift. ;)
I totally agree with 717. Franklin seems much more perkier, it's the first thing I noticed when I first saw the new design. Overall though very impressive update to an iconic piece of history.

I love that they are using more symbols from my hometown, Philadelphia on the $100.
So I can't hate on that. And the 3D stuff is kinda cool for money is a security way...
We have ugly money - let's face facts. The cutout is all wrong (and the right hand cutouts on the front too), but I have to say I LOVE the vertical gold 100. TOTALLY DIG IT. I want that on EVERY denomination (sans the cutouts).
FAIL. For all of the previously mentioned reasons. I like the colours (colors) though.
I don't think it is good, but I think it is better, if that makes any sense.

Oh poor american money. While the euro is a heap of compromises too, I really crave for brave decision makers at national banks to go for a completely different sort of design. Step away from that 'heritage'- thing. Be brave, go for something completely new.
Look at the money we had over here in the Netherlands before they decided to go along with the Euro. This was our last 10 guilder paper. (yes this was REAL money)!
It makes me realise what beautiful money we've lost.
