I have my Software Update set to do daily background updates, with notification. I have yet to encounter 10.5.3 -- maybe it's Intel-dependent? (I'm still on PowerMacs). BTW, I searched the Apple downloads and couldn't find it. I'll try Ivan's link.
"The 10.5.3 Update is recommended for all users running Mac OS X Leopard and includes general operating system fixes that enhance the stability, compatibility and security of your Mac. "
It's about 500MB so hopefully you have a highspeed connection. :)
...I'd been noticing the past week that the fan on my MacBook was spinning for ages when the computer was idle and there were no applications using a lot of the CPU, this update has fixed it straight away.
The install was odd, for some reason my MacBook shut down half way through instead of restarting itself and after 20 minutes not wanting to mess up the update I bit the bullet and hit the power button and it carried on from where it left off. Other than that, totally painless.
Thanks for the warning on that! I'll set it up to run while I'm home on my lunch break so it's not chewing into time where I'm actually wanting to be on my machine. Glad to hear no bad side-effects thus far!
Ivan, is this a beta

Why is everyone getting the massive combo updater?
Software update installed the 160Mb one for me.
Combo has security update
Combo has security update included with it...

Oh ok.
I'd already installed that then I guess.
I ended up having the 450 Mb
I ended up having the 450 Mb download on my month-old MacPro, and only 110 Mb on my G5 at home. Seems backwards to me.
One didn't have the security
One didn't have the security update, probably.

Has anyone experienced the reported bugs between CS3 and 10.5.3?
I've not been able to replicate then on my set up.
