The new Acrobat 7 has a pdf plug-in so you can view it in the browser.

I believe the free adobe reader has the same pdf plug-in.
It seems to be a lot faster too.

Shubert also has a plugin to allow you to view Microsoft Word files in your browser, much the same as the PDF plugin. They both work extremely well.
The Acrobat plugin offers a few more features than the Shubert one, but Shubert's is faster.

I prefer the Shubert one just because I don't feel like waiting 10 minutes for Acrobat to load. Until this came along, I just downloaded pdfs and used Preview.
