PDF export problem

I'm working in CS4 on a 24-page document. For some reason, when I export it to a PDF, the even-numbered pages on the Master spread are disappearing. There's also a jpeg on one of the pages that has text that is changing from black to white.

Any insights as to why this is happening and how to fix it?

I don't have CS4, so keep that in mind... You can run a preflight on your document and see if it's catching any errors - it might point out what could be wrong with the JPEG image. I'm assuming you're exporting from InDesign. The menu might be different, but I can locate the Preflight setting under the "File" menu in InDesign.

Sometimes when I have an image giving me fits on the output, I'll reopen it and save it in a different format and re-link the InDesign document to the new format of the image and that will fix it.

For the skipped pages, go through your PDF export settings window with a fine-tooth comb. There may be something checked there that's set to exclude even-numbered pages (although I've never seen this option before, but again, it may be a CS4 thing).
