I think it fits the Metro thinking, but I don't like it either.
That was done by Pentagram? I think this is a great example of a bad client, I think. You know Microsoft had far too much influence on this, I know they're a global brand but they really need to either leave their logo alone or go for something completely new. There's no proper perspective to this either. Not liking it at all.
Love it! Fits Microsoft perfectly... as unimaginative and uncool as it gets. I can see Gates now in the brainstorming session for the new logo...
