brianmot (99 points) | Wed, 2008-12-24 14:43This may be old news but i stumbled across this today. most of us will agree that the new pepsi logo was probably a step backwards. what do you guys think of the new packaging?

This is an epic fail in re-branding. It looks like a joke. Since I first saw this, I have been a coke man.
Epic.

uhhhh this isn't supposed to be a site to critique logo's such as pepsi's rebranding. i know i know you're not trying to pass it off as yours, but none the less...

It's ok I think. We can talk about design regardless who did it. It's all for learning and becoming better and better with each day.
There are certain things you are not supposed to do on logos. Smiles, orbits, leafs are all overused and look worn instantly.
i meant to put this in the forum section :( :(
i personally dont mind the spacing in the diet pepsi logo but it looks so awkward in the regular and pepsi max. It makes me uncomfortable to just look it at!
I like the little curve in the 'e' in pepsi?(mimicking their previous logo) other than that i think it pretty bad.
it stands out? not for a good reason but it certainly does catch attention. i guess if your product is so main stream, any attention is good. i haven't said "WOW' about any other soda cans ive seen in a while, good or bad. the next brand they put out will be good regardless of what it is... maybe they are thinking ahead haha. low balling us.
