PERSONAL LOGO- GRAPHIC DESIGNER
TheCount (48 pencils) | Fri, 2007-11-16 22:58My personal identity for freelance work. I have thought about this logo for weeks and came up with these few directions. The idea spawns from my street name, Maupas, and the actual sign. I chose this direction because I really love where I live. My personal style is clean and I believe these sketches show my style. The toughest part is the single "S" in the middle which is taking the spot of 2 "S's" (Maupas Studio). My site, under construction, is spelled maupastudio.com. The samples "A" are obvious, going for the street sign literally. The "B" side is more colorful and farthest outside the box without being in another box altogether. Thanks for your crits!

the ones on the left remind me of sesame street. The B 1st one on the right might look better if the line around the text were more...orange. The B 2nd one is...O.K., the B third is better, and the B 4th is weird. The box doesn't go around just the S...you should fix that...its distracting.
Sorry man. I'm not a big fan of any of these. It's a tough thing when you have two words share the same letter. Maybe consider not doing that so that people can understand your name better.
The logos on the left are very generic. I do like the colors of the logos on the right. The yellow and blue pop very nicely off the black on the bottom one.
I'd keep going after this concept, let us know how it goes.
