I like the icon, very creative. But it seems to me there's way more text than needed. Also, reading the icon I get LB7, yet the tagline is "life becomes reflection"

I don't quite grasp the concept of the tagline.

I like! Could be played with more, but I like! Possibly able to see the camera upside down as well. So close right now.

Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.

Thanks fellas, Yeah it is a long name, but thats the name.
Have played with it a fair bit, but it tends to draw away from the concept when altered too much. Wil keep experimenting though.
Tried the upside down camera but gets confusing as reads RPJ. Was worth a try though.

Must be my turn to be the bad guy...

Not reading LBR (and neither is Leaky). This is (one reason) why we don't use reversed letters (although in this case you could intellectually justify it with "reflection" in the name - it's STILL - and always will be - a BAD idea to reverse letters.) While you're explaining it's an "R" to the first guy - everyone else still sees a "7". Which brings up the question (again) - why is it this board seems so enamored with reversed letters? People... No. Bad. Walk away.

The "camera"? Well yeah... after I see the word "photography" and you explain that it's a camera... okay, now I kind of, sort of see a camera. Is that the reaction you expected or wanted? I think it would go a LONG way towards making this mark viable if you added some camera pieces to your "camera"... perhaps a viewfinder on top (or a flash shoe), a shutter release button, a strap, a flash (although that could be problematic - I'd use that as a last resort)... maybe one of these items, maybe all of them, I don't know. In a very stripped down / simplified / stylized manner, of course. But for me - the "camera" is not working as a "camera" well enough to consider this a go.

The company name is too light and the kerning is unfortunate. It looks too loose to be "tight" and too tight to be "loose". Like you didn't know what you wanted. And the name itself... "Life Becomes Reflection"... good lord. Worst. Company. Name. Ever.

"Photography"... BOLD and in ALL CAPS. So now it carries more weight than the company name - exactly the opposite effect that you want.

This mark would also have a very short shelf life imo. It seems very rooted in the font style of today. If that's the only thing you have to carry this idea - the font - then that's the only thing you have to keep it contemporary. That font is not timeless - it is very NOW. Which means tomorrow it will be very YESTERDAY.

Bottom line... This - to me - is the perfect example of a client idea. Non professionals get these ideas that - to them - are the most wondrous concepts on the planet. Usually - under even the best circumstances - those ideas are almost always half-baked. That's what I see here - a half baked concept. I understand the situation you're in - the client will NOT waver from this no matter what you say, so it's up to you to make it work. Good luck.

Thanks Art.
Yeah font is an issue, as i explained. will keep working on it.
I didnt want the camera to be obvious at first, but to make sense after reading the name.
I hear what you are saying about reversed letters, and normally i would never do it, but I feel in this instance (in the mark only) it is justified. The problem as you mention is that it is not recognisable as an r.
Apprceiate the feedback mate. will look to amend.

Playing around with the 'r'.
Type obviously needs work still but just seeing if this improves the confusion between 'r' and '7'.

Oh no, stick with your original, I like the original.

The only problem is the full line "life becomes reflection", becomes dominant over your lbr logo, which in my opinion is the HERO and it should be the one that stands out.

Perhaps you could try re arrange the elements/separate if you are allowed? eg. >>
& make the L smaller so it reflects the typographic camera a bit more?

Ha...appreciate the effort though mate.
Yeah that name is an issue...hmmm

That name is terrible. It doesn't make sense either - yes photography is the art of capturing reflected light, but the tag for that would be something like "Life reflected" or Life being reflected". I hope he didn't commit to that because he thought the initials would make a nice "camera" - because that still isn't working for me either. An even better name would be something like "Life of Reflection" or Live. Observe. Reflect. Something to get an O in the middle - because that's the main drawback for the "camera" - the ascender on the "b" ruins the lens effect.

I think it's great just the way it is. It's simple. It's clear. It's strong. It's clever. It's what a logo should be! It might be a little too intelligent with the "r" but that's what I like about it. It makes you think but not so much that it's bothersome. If you left the "r" straight, the eureka moment would be when you reverse it.

The logo stands by itself. Since your concern is the type, if I see anything in my collection that I think would fit better, I'll tell you to try it. Off the top of my head, I am thinking brisk font. Perhaps, a more square font type. Maybe, you could combine square and rounded fonts just to play with it.

Thanks Ant...i will look into that font.
I have been trying a lot of circlar fonts, but maybe need to look urther.
Was just concerned the letters in the mark, wouldnt relate to the name...
thanks mate.
