It's a school project where the goal is to illustrate a certain environment. I went for drug addicts.

I think this could've been illustrated in more creative ways. Face shots, someone dressed in a suit going to work with a brief case in one hand and a needle in the other...something to make more of a connection between the user and the viewer. Right now I just feel these are gratuitous shots but don't tell a story. I feel detached from the people shown, nothing to keep me interested. From a technical standpoint the picture with the hand holding the needles is outstanding though.

Yes, I too would like some face shots. However, I have a responsibility to secure these people's anonymity. I was allowed to take photographs as long as I didn't include any face shots (imagine the scenario where I, a complete stranger, arrive at their hideout in the shadows where they boil up their druggies, carrying a camera.).

Unfortuantely there is a lot of stuff on CB I don't like, but I'd never ask it to be deleted. Design is design whether you like what you see or not.

I like it. It's gritty. It's real. It's what's really happening. Growing up in NYC, I've seen this kind of stuff and worse.
