Photoshop bug
Brian (19 pencils) | Fri, 2008-06-13 23:41i'm working on a mac using CS3.
Photoshop isn't using the whole screen when displaying a document. When i resize a document it will only use about 2/3 of the screen. Fit on Screen, zooming in or out produce the same results. It's as if photoshop thinks i have a smaller screen than I actually do.
Has anyone had a similar experience or know how to fix it?
thanks

probably.
And I wouldn't like to have a part of my picture behind the panels.
If you change the size of your panels or hide the panels you will see that your photo will adjust

hiding all the tools and control panels does allow me to resize a document correctly. But I don't want to have to do that every time. Does anyone know what's going wrong or how to fix it?
thanks
Hitting Tab should hide everything but the image. Hitting it again should bring it all back.
That being said, just work in Full Screen Mode if you don't want the image to be constrained to the areas where toolbars & palettes don't exist.

and you can't fix it, and nothing is going wrong it's the way they changed from CS2 to CS3
hi
i'm using Tiger and Ps CS3 and everything works fine here. TAB key is removing the Tools and panels from left and right. But F key is changing only the Screen mode and it's works fine.

Also you can hit command + to zoom in. When you fit your doc to the screen it takes into account the height AND width and so will limit it to the shorter dimension (usually the height unless you have a square monitor).

Hmm.. don't have that problem here. Maybe a glitch?
I always hit "F" when I want to make it full screen. Have you tried this?
see if you can reset it to default settings
