Photoshop hidden layer Annoyance
pechos (120 pencils) | Fri, 2006-02-24 21:11I am working ona project right now with many layers and layer sets as well as several layers consisting of text in a path. The escalating annoyance I keep facing is where photoshop will select the text from hidden layers when I am trying to select overlying text in a visible layer tha sits directly on top of the hidden one(s).
Does this make sense?
Is anyone has any suggestions I am more than open to hear them. This is getting REALLY annoying.
Thanks.

So you're actually *hiding* the layers, right, they're not just buried below other layers? When I hide a layer in Photoshop, it is not editable in anyway way.
Another solution might be to lock the layers you don't want to edit.
The layer are most definitely hidden. Usually it is the entire layer set I hide, perhaps that has something to do with it vs. hiding individual layers? I alos tried to lock the layers, then I get an even more annoying prompt every other click to notify me that I am attempting to work on a locked layer. Yes even hidden and locked I am getting this prompt?
