Photoshop script help

I know this is possible but I can't figure out how to write a script that resizes the image to a certain maximum dimensions that do not exceed 1000px by 1000px. So the image can either be let's say 1000x560px or 300x1000px. Both are ok depending on the orientation of the image. I don't want the image to get distorted, just resized. Also, if the image is smaller than 1000px it should not enlarge it. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Ivan
the inimitable Dr Brown has already written a script for this. It's called "Dr. Brown's 1-2-3 Process" & it's available from here:
http://www.russellbrown.com/tips_tech.html
It's one of a bunch of scripts - just look for the "Dr. Brown's Services 1.5.1 Easy Installer" on this page. There's also a good QT tutorial for using it here:

I saw Russell Brown in Sydney a few years ago - he's a great presenter.
Hope this helps.
