Photoshop to Create GUIs?

I don't know how many here use Photoshop to build GUIs, but I'd like to get feedback from those of you who do (or would like to).

Altia has developed a commercial plug-in called PhotoProto. It walks through a .psd and uses specifically named layers in Photoshop to create interactive prototypes that can be sent around to Mac/PC users. It is not a web tool -- it uses its own XML player to display the interactive GUI. There's no scripting language -- PhotoProto figures out what to create from the way layers are named (for example, name a layer set "button" to get a clickable button).

Anyway, if you want to learn more, there's a video and more descriptive text available on the web site (www.altia.com/products_photoproto.php?ref=cbts). There's also a free trial version (watermarks the output) if you have Photoshop CS or CS2 and want to give it a spin.

If you've used Photoshop to create interactive GUIs, I'd really like to hear about your experiences and what you think of how PhotoProto could affect your workflow.

Thanks,
Jason
