Photoshop: From Ho-hum to Wow!
You can use Photoshop to bring out the magic of photos that are muddy, soft, or blandly composed.

It should run, though the latest update of OS X (which is what you have on your new iMac) has had plenty of compatibility issues.
You could try reinstalling your CS suite...

I did reinstall it and it did not work, but after hours researching the net I discovered that if you delete the TWAIN plug in from CS it will work with 10.4.8.
I called apple and they did express an issue with CS and 10.4.8!!
Thanks...
What is the Twain plug in anyway???

I had to "recreate my printer" to get things working again (see Solution 6 in this Adobe article). http://www.adobe.com/support/techdocs/331627.html
I have Creative Suite with everything and I am also running 10.4.8 on my lousy eMac and I have never had any problems. Runs smoothly. Is it your RAM? I have 512 MB of RAM, so maybe that's it????

Talked to Adobe about this very same issue. Apparently if you are installing CS on a New Installation of 10.4.8 the first user that is configured automatically during the install can become "corrupt".
Solution - Create a new user under Accounts in System Preferences [be sure the enable them with administrator access] and login under that user to use CS - Viola!
Then you can either delete the old user or keep it for other uses.
By the way Version Queue doesn't work on the Intel Macs either. Adobe blames this on Apple and says that it should be fixed in the next release.
TWAIN plug ins are usually related to external devices like scanners.
