This was a cool project for a collegue she wanted a wedding photo edited that would be blown up into a 48" poster size print in b&w. The original piece I was working with was 600dpi took about 4 hours to edit out the people. Photoshop rocks! click the before photoshop.jpg to see what changed its amazing it came out like it did.

Cool, the type and little sign look out of place though. :-/ All that time spent on 'shopping out the people and so little time on the type, makes me sad. :(

Your quite right that the type looks out of place but think you should have checked the original first. The sign is real and bad sign writing is to blame not slack PS work :)
Guess he could have changed it though.

All I did was edit out people this is strictly a photograph, the "type" was real life type ... that is a real sign that she was holding. I personally think the photograph is awesome.
You did a pretty good job, I just hope when it's poster size and they're showing it off you can't tell. The only comment I would have is that the window that you made seems to be a bit bright. I know that's the way the light goes but my eye is drawn there first, not to the people, it stands out.
Good thing is you're skilled in photoshop and can fix that. Try burning the window in a bit and maybe lightening up the faces could help.
Good job. Thanks for the before and after. I love that for some reason.
The only thing that bothers me is that there are no details in the dark areas.
Freeking good Job!!!
nice photoshoppin' werk!!

Wow! Great Job. I love doing stuff like this in photoshop! I would echo the comment(s) about the window being too bright... but it still looks great!
