Picking fabric color from photo

I have a photo of some fabric (actually its my boxers, but it doesn't really matter). It's composed of 4 colors, and I want those for use in a project. How can I easily colorpick them with Photoshop? Because of the nature of fabric, plus light-conditions and so on, the color picker gives a trizillion different hits. I tried using the Mosaic filter, to narrow it down. But sure there has to be a way to say, make a selection with the magic wand, and then select the color that is most relevant for the selection? Know what I mean?
When you select the
When you select the eyedropper tool (i), the tool bar at the top has a pull-down menu where you can select a sample size. You can sample a single pixel, or an area of 3x3 or 5x5. The color will be an average of the values in the selected area. If you sample the most representative swatch of the fabric, you should get a pretty decent read.
As a side note, If you change the sample size of the eyedropper, this also affects how the magic wand selects an area. If you choose the 5 x 5 square, the magic wand will also sample a 5 x 5 square and make its selection based on that average.

Thankyou. A friend also pointed me to the same solution. It's not quite what I wanted, but it might be good enough.
Can you not retake the photo
Can you not retake the photo under optimal lighting conditions if they are in fact your boxers? Make sure if you're using a digital camera that you have the right light setting (flourescent, sunlight, tungsten etc) that correlates to the lighting situation. This might give you a better output file to sample from.
