Please critique Band Website

The website is very nice. Works well, user friendly, free music! Love that you give us the whole song - too often it's a small clip. Problems?

The double image of the ghetto (or the wires)? Why? You only need the top one. Put something different on the bottom or leave it out altogether - it's not adding anything to the experience. Or you can move the top image down some and make the fade longer or have more black at the top. Other than that the site is great imho.

This logo thing you posted here? Does that say blues rock to you? It says "Russian Ballet" to me. The style is totally wrong. You need some movement in there - SHAKE it up a little. Have some fun with it.

Thank you Art D. Rector. I'm not completely sure what you are referring to regarding double image. Would appreciate if you could clarify. Perhaps you mean the tiling of the backgroung image? The site is designed to load 4 different random images for the background. On a screen resolution of 1280x800 it won't tile. But I will most likely bump the background images up to 1920x1200 this will prevent tiling on most resolutions. There is some CSS code that prevents tilting but on a larger monitor it puts black borders on each side which I don't like.

Yes, you are right on, the band logo does not say Blues-rock. My logo design sucks and I really need to work on this. Suggestions always welcome ;-)

One or two minor details-

You need to sharpen up the cutout of the band members on the opening page,especially on the trousers of the girl and the older dude to the left.

Are they walking on water? Maybe give them a stage. Not sure how that would work with your scrolling though.

I'm not keen on the logo, for your riff-tastic guitars, but shaking beats and scorching soulful grooves I would expect something with more energy.

Apart from that, damn fine site, sir.

monkey1979, I could put some kind of platform under the band directly on the background image for the housing complex/canal photo. There's actually 9 images that load randomly each time you refresh the site.

I'm working a new logo. I think I need to hit the font library, something grungy maybe?

It's a good looking site indeed, but on my screen the background image is tiled, looks a little shoddy. Other than that it's easy to navigate, I know where everything is and it's pleasing to the eye.

I also agree the logo needs a bit more work.(Ok, a lot)
Maybe something suiting the music?

A bit confusing how the background changes each time you visit the site. Would you not have it more memorable? You give that up if you have it change every time.
