Presenting to clients - a revelation
chrisg75 (87 pencils) | Thu, 2010-02-04 21:54We've had a breakthrough in our company. We've tried many ways of presenting concepts and designs to clients. We used a branded PDF for a long time with some explanation and the designs, but then realised that no-one read anything but went straight to the designs.
So, now we produce a keynote presentation, record a simple voiceover and upload it as a video to vimeo.com with a password.
This means that our clients have to take note of what we're saying about our designs.
Using this technique, our clients have stopped saying things like:
"I like purple, can we try it purple".
If you're having issues with some clients. Try it.

Fantastic tip - I prefer face to face presentations wherever possible, but this is a nice work-around in those situations where time or location make that impossible.
