print a PDF with page numbers (can it be done?)

made a 324 page PDF from Extensis Portfolio. no problems there.
but I need to print out the document with page numbers. Is there a tool that can add page numbers into a PDF after it has been created? and then can I print that out with those page numbers?
I didn't get an option to add page numbers when i created the PDF from Portfolio.
even better would be some sort of control over some kind of footer of info at the bottom/top of each page saying something like.. 'xxxxx document page 6 of 324'
oh and then i would like the moon on a stick please- thanks

Thanks for reading my earlier problem- but I just figured it out. you just go to Document > add headers and footers.
simple really- damn my impatience of searching tool bars and help menus.
