Summer projects?
Submitted by Tigerstorm on Sun, 2005-07-24 18:01.

It's summertime now and a lot of us ordinary CB heads is on vacation of some kind and just lying in the sun (Haven't seen much of that in Sweden) or we're just having a good time out or something else..
Ivan wrote a blog post in 2004 about finding inspiration, perhaps some people who weren't with us in 2004 read it but finds it interesting now in the summer of 2005..

busy busy....
No slacking of for me this summer. I'm working full time during the day for a designer and at night I'm taking care of some of the freelance work I have.
Busy bee...
BUT! The weather here in Iceland has been great! For example, this weekend we had clear blue days and temp around 25°C. Which is plenty considering Iceland. So I've been spending some time in outdoor cafés having beer and lattés.

A fulltime job at MS and 3
A fulltime job at MS and 3 long term contracts don't allow me to see the sun or moon. I've decided next summer though I will take on as little work as possible. As much as I love designing and developing, I've decided that too much work when the weather is great like this is depressing and even takes away my motivation.

Building the Studio
For 6 years, I've been working from my "office" in the corner of my living room.
I'm beginning a project which will add 1200 square feet to my house to be used as a multimedia studio (art, music, printmaking, video, etc.) and a master bedroom loft.
I'll never have to leave the room. hee, hee.

Blog redesign
I'm redesigning my blog. It's just really needed. It's not like I get paid or anything - which might also be why progress is reeeeal slow. Oh well :) Also get to spend some time outside in the sun (which there is a fair amount of in Norway)
For your pleasure: nothing like a geek in swimwear (yes its me)

Damn norwegians :D
You stole the sun from us in Sweden.. lol
With the phenomenally
With the phenomenally disappointing (to me) releases of OS 10.4 and Adobe CS2, I've decided to make this summer as computer-free as possible. it is my last summer before I graduate, and then I'll have to get a real job and sit in front of a computer all day every day. It'll be hell, I'm sure.
So this summer I'm taking up some photography. I just got a very very awesome Pentax KM from the eBay, and I'm researching medium format stuff (I'll probably settle on the dreaded Kiev 60) for later. I'm painting a little too, but I'm finding I kinda hate it. I mean I like it, but I'm pretty bad at it. I just need stuff to put on my very bare walls.
