In our logo store you can pick from over 28,000 pre-made logos that will be customized to your name for free or you can post a contest for us for just $250 and our designers from all over the world will submit dozens of logo design suggestions to your specific needs.
I don't think that it would help me like this design, but you should always present a design with a brief - just so we have some context of what you were trying to accomplish in this mark.
Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.
Caoimghgin is right; we need a "brief." What does this company do? What does the mark represent? How do you anticipate rendering it? (By this I mean any color separations, embossing, etc. that we should know about in order to offer comments on potential printing or digital applications.)
By "logo," do you mean the mark plus all the text under it, or just the acronym? If you intend to use the company's name spelled out as part of the logo, you should be mindful that these words will be almost illegible when the logo is used in a size small enough for business cards. You might want to delete those words from the logo design and incorporate the acronym into the mark somehow to fuse them as the company's identity. Right now, the acronym dominates the design and it isn't very interesting. The mark *is* interesting, though. I'd like to know its meaning.

thanks for the comments.
I'll put a description of the project and the more I tried to convey with the logo.
Fala irmão! Gostei do seu logo! Ajustaria apenas as fontes.
I understand because I'm brazilian xD it's about Biomedicine Research Institute.
I see cell and tissue stuff then it's ok for me IMHO.
Suggest to shrink the logotype and grow the tagline font.
yes I'm brazilian xD
The ICBAS is a university in Portugal, in the area of medicine, and research in health.
The logo is based on the construction of the armillary sphere, used in the discovery and representing all that the Portuguese discovered. In just half of the armillary sphere is empty representing the unknown and the two curves represents everything incomplete for this build.
I chose a sans-serif type and lighter to focus the reader on the symbol.
Wow. That really was helpful. I love what you're thinking. Really do!
However, just not communicating.
Using just HALF of a armillary sphere is going to be a tough nut to crack. I can't see it working in the best of executions and I wouldn't even attempt it. Still, the idea of the armillary as representation of Portuguese history of exploration and discovery is very appealing especially as symbol of biological cell...a lot of interesting things can happen here.
The two extra curves...drop entirely. They're not adding to the message and are visually unbalancing. Furthermore, the top left one is destroying all hope of the Armillary being understood.
So, execution is FAIL but the ideas behind the mark are a MAJOR WIN. Nice thing about a winning idea is you can keep working at the execution until it wins as well.
Without my sense of direction, I don't know where I'd be.
I still see a fish wearing a hat.
Simplify. The idea is not nearly as complex as your icon. Break it down to the base element - half known/half not. Now what do you see?
thanks for the comment
I'll try to simplify the symbol, but keeping the base that's the ball.
You see fish, but I C BAS. Get it??
Fine, I'll see myself out.

i'll agree with the others' comments on the logomark.
i think the typography is... uninspired. i understand that you want to focus people on the mark, but i don't think that means you should just plop the text down and kern it. i think you need to find a way to make ICBAS a bit less... boring.
Agree with @caoimghgin, stick to Armillary sphere and create something more simplistic but easy to remember shape. Best of luck!
Thanks!
