Pryor Design
wynnc (165 pencils) | Tue, 2011-03-01 00:39This is an assignment for class. It's for a fake design comp. This is first round just wanted to get some feedback on my direction. It's a p and d that run together. Pryor is the name of a person. (name was required in the name of company). Let me know what you guys think.

Mark execution be more refined. Concept is cliché.
"Pryor design" is way too small. Hard to read from thumbnail, and will be even harder to read when shrunk more.
I read R too at first time but I think it's challenging.
yes I'm brazilian xD
I see a maze, which isn't really the image you want to convey when trying to sell your designs skills. Makes me wonder what the process is going to be like...

I'm 100% behind the mark, although I'm guessing there's probably something similar out there somewhere. If you want me to nitpick - I might bring in the ascender and descender to form a perfect rectangle and maybe work on the lines and corners a little. The upper and lower lines and corners seem a tad hefty.
The drawbacks... The color - who wants to be stuck with brown? And the type treatment is a cliche and doesn't match the mark very well. I'd go with something larger and more in tune with the stretched feel of the mark.
Overall? Nice work imho.
It reads "R" & "I" more than letter "P" & "d". Logo looks unbalanced and seems it will fall to left side due to its left weight. I don't think brown is a good choice and text color is too light which getting dominated by symbol.
Nice try for the next try.
