# PSD background doesn't match HTML color!

This is driving me nuts!!!

I have an image in PSD CS with the #cccccc background

but when I put it in the html page with exactly the same color

it doesn't match...is lighter.... the image is full jpg (no compression)

and no mater how I save it (gif) it does not match!

Is there a bug in Dreamweaver MX 2004 or something?

This is never ever happend before with previous versions.

Please Helppppppppppp!!!

Thanks

Pompo

Did you just get DW 2004?

Does the difference in the color show up when you preview it in a browser?

I had this problem like this a while back-- Take a look a this and see if it helps:

If I think of something else, I'll give a holler.

It's the color profile embedding... kills it every time. Rather than mess around with color management you could just save the image without a background and have transparency turned on in the .gif file settings. Or save it as a .png image with transparency (though Windows IE doesn't support .png very well)

The problem is that the jpg is an actual image and it would look real

bad in Gif....I need the site to look good in IE so no PNG either...

geez they made things worse instead of better;

I never had that prob with photoshop 7 e dreamweaver 4...

I have to look at the links above (thanks everybody)
