Random Kingdom is a visual communications magazine based in Sydney. This issue will run in March and its cover story is about ants and communication. The masthead is an existing one and it matches the story. I felt that the natural order of things would be to continue and use the ant as a visual. Ants on somebody's face will "catch" your attention; hence the cover. The tough part was getting the ants :)

Cool pic; I think the title of the magazine should be much bigger, however.

The masthead size is not up to me. The magazine has always had eye catching or controversial images on its cover to make sure it gets you attention, loyal random kingdom readers will always look out for it.

I love this cover, magazine covers just seem too cluttered nowdays, I wish I saw more like this one at the local newsagents, very eye-catching.

I am so sick & tired of seeing the same magazine covers everywhere with too much going on, something like that would get lost on the newsstands, whereas, this would definitely stand out.
I think it is very eye catching and the typography used within the composition is excellent! I love it as is. Not only that, I really like the black & white with the yellow and grayscale thing. Perfect! I wouldn't change a thing.
