Rant: Adobe phone support went up a TON
joecab (97 pencils) | Tue, 2006-09-26 16:29Yikes. Last year we bought unlimited phone support 24/7 for Adobe Creative Suite at $299 for a full year. Apparently on September 25th they instituted a new support system.
Now it's broken up into Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum support. Silver, which is pretty close to what we had before for CS, is now $1600.
Just want to support one application to save some money? No problem: that'll just run you $1200.
Don't these prices seem, oh, I dunno, incredibly steep? The Adobe person on the phone tried to justify it a bit by saying they'll have more experienced people on the line rather than "people who have only been there a month." (!) You can also pay per incident ($39 a pop, $175 for a package of 5), but really, these prices are terrible. What's Quark charging?
