Looks great. I'm not sure
Looks great. I'm not sure about the exposed leg. I don't think it's anatomically correct, but it may not have to be as it's an imaginary figure.
yeah..
I love the background. You really got the space she is sitting in to feel right.

Good, fast, and cheap. Pick any Two.
I would be careful about your art subject
So what has happened to respectable culture in Asia? I'm surprised to see such a despicable attack on Chinese decency. If you are a younger artist, I would suggest that you first study the culture and traditions of respectable Chinese. This kind of art looks influenced by video games and b-rated Hong Kong kungfu films. Did you know that many Hong Kong people looked down on actors like Bruce Lee? Did you know that many Chinese movie actors are considered at a lower human standard regardless of the popularity of their art? If you want to maintain respect within the Chinese art field, you should understand first the historic, cultural, and traditional paths that should be maintained for cultural preservation. Those considered as great artists in Asia typically follow the strictest of tradition. The better they represent that tradition, the higher the regard they're given. This is still highly practiced today. Your picture, although artful and well illustrated, is offensive to common decencies, and somewhat perpetuates an inaccurate theme often placed on Chinese women in similar modern depictions. I view this type of art just as offensive as depicting a black child in ragged slave cloths eating watermelon by the roadside. It's disrespectful to Chinese, it's disrespectful to women, and it's a misleading and damaging image toward both. Some may even consider this picture as being somewhat racist. Respectable Chinese culture is very conservative, with great emphasis on honor and respect. It's really a taboo to depict a woman displaying violence with sexual overtones. A man who lusts or muses over such a picture would be considered as having a criminal mind. In a conservative culture like China's, this is almost within the realm of pornography, and would certainly be considered harmful for children to view. I would not want to make such a picture public in China if I were you. Certainly keep it away from the knowledge of the authorities there. I'm serious about that, I've seen folks get in trouble before over there. By the way, my wife is Chinese and she was very angry to see this picture. She found it insulting, racist and demeaning. My Chinese in-laws and Asian friends expressed similar views as well. Not one of them considered the artist highly on a "human" level. I know it wasn't the intent to conger up this negative reaction. But in today's climate, it would be wise if we all step back for a moment and rethink our relationship with one another as one earth. The best answer may come from looking back at ourselves. From within we would know how we would want to be depicted by others. We should then do the same upon our looking back outward. ---Will
So do you agree that Chinese
So do you agree that Chinese movie actors, like Bruce Lee, should be considered at a lower human standard regardless of the popularity of their art?

Welcome to CB!
Hello wfd57, and welcome to CreativeBits.
Although your posts are eloquently written and thought out, may I make a small, albeit major recommendation?
Please, please, please, when you have a lot to say—which it appears that you do—will you please be conscientious to paragraph breaks. Your threads are difficult to read as a result of this. It would make it so much more enjoyable to read what you have to say by frequently using paragraph breaks.
Thanks a ton and welcome again! Glad you're here as you have a lot to contribute, I see. :)
