Red Eye

OK, just curious.

Whenever I have red-eye in a pic (normal red-eye, not white-red eyes) I just use the sponge tool to suck the saturation out of the red area. That seems to work pretty darn good for my purposes. Just curious what methods you guys use. Also, when it comes to the glowing white-red eyes (the kind of eyes animals give off at night) I'm guessing you would just need to get eyes from another similar pic? Or do any of you have suggestions for fixing dog eyes?

I've tested that method a couple times now and have to say I don't see much of a reason to drop my sponge method for this one. I may use that method on a close-up or something, but from a decent distance I can see no difference.

simple solution. create a new layer in PS. paint over the eyes with the brush with pick color and put the layer to overlay. you'll get mostly realistic looking eyes. depends what the real color of the eyes of your cat are.
