Refurbished macs - reputable online co?

KellyR's picture

I'm starting to think more and more that I want to do some major freelance work from home, and my little G4 PowerBook just isn't going to cut it - takes way too long to process the kind of heavy-graphical work I want to accomplish.

So, I want to start doing some pricing comparisons on various macs, and i remember when I was asking about flatscreen monitors, someone mentioned exploring refurbished macs.

Can anyone point me to a good, reputable online refurbished mac shop? (or two or three...)

I've also been told that if I get the latest OSX operating system that the only Adobe CS products that will run on it is CS3. Is that correct?

Thanks so much.

Thanks

Thanks for the suggestions - didn't realize Apple sold refurbs, too!

Anyone know about my question in regards to the latest OSX and Adobe products?

Hmmm. maybe the other way around

Maybe it's the other way around - the only OS that CS3 will run on is the latest OS...

Nope.

I have CS3 running on my G4.

There are issues with 10.5.2

There are issues with 10.5.2 and CS3, but this is part of the normal 'bug' process. Anytime you're on the cutting edge of software you're bound to get cut. :)
